Camlock Adapters (Stock) – Quick, Reliable Connections for Hoses and Pipes 🚀
Camlock adapters are essential components for fast, secure, and leak-resistant hose and pipe connections in industrial, firefighting, agricultural, and municipal applications. Their simple cam and groove design allows users to connect and disconnect lines in seconds—no threading or special tools required[1][3][5].
Available Sizes:
38mm (1.5") Camlock x 38mm (1.5") NPT
50mm (2") Camlock x 50mm (2") NPT
65mm (2.5") Camlock x 65mm (2.5") NPT
77mm (3") Camlock x 77mm (3") NPT
Cam Types:
Cam A: Male Camlock x Female NPT
Cam B: Female Camlock x Male NPT
Cam D: Female Camlock x Female NPT
Cam F: Male Camlock x Male NPT
Key Features:
Quick Disconnect: Instantly connect hoses or pipes by inserting the male adapter into the female coupler and snapping the levers shut—creates a tight, leak-proof seal[3][5].
Versatile Material Choices: Typically made from aluminum, brass, stainless steel, or polypropylene to suit different fluids, pressures, and environments[1][4][5].
Industrial Strength: Rated for pressures up to 150 psi (check specific material and size for maximum rating); corrosion-resistant for long-term reliability[5].
Wide Application: Used in firefighting, irrigation, chemical transfer, water and waste management, fuel lines, marine, and food processing industries[1][3][4].
Thread Compatibility: NPT (National Pipe Tapered) threads fit standard pipe systems, making these adapters universally adaptable[5].
Actionable Tips:
Select the right size and type for your hose and pipe setup (double-check NPT thread compatibility).
For chemical or food-grade use, choose stainless steel or polypropylene for best corrosion resistance and hygiene[4].
Always clean camlock couplings and seals before use to prevent contamination and ensure a tight seal.
Avoid using camlocks for compressed air or steam—they’re not designed for those applications[5].
Alternative Perspectives:
Aluminum is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, ideal for most water transfer and fuel service, but brass or stainless steel is preferred for higher pressure or corrosive materials[1][5].
Camlock fittings excel in operations needing frequent hose changes—less suitable for permanent installations.
